Many children — and adults — find spelling difficult.  This is not surprising, given the complex history of the English language and the uneven correspondence between English speech sounds and spelling.  Some students are additionally hampered by memory and/or auditory processing issues.  No wonder spelling can be such a challenge!

I am a Certified Wired for Reading® Specialist extensively trained in the Wired for Reading® approach.  Using the Wired program, I will demystify our spelling system by teaching students phonics stories that make the “rules” come alive in a fun, engaging way.  I will also add music, drama, and games to create a multi-sensory approach.
